Therapeutic Behavioral Services

A mother crying, her daughter and a mental health specialist United Therapeutic Center, Inc. offers short-term behavior modification and treatment programs for children or teens with challenging behaviors. Our Therapeutic Behavioral Services or TBS are designed to prevent children from potentially being confined in institutional care due to behavioral or mental stability issues. In the same way, children who have been in residential treatment can receive transitional services through TBS programs.

Counselors from United Therapeutic Center, Inc. will collaborate with the child, the parent and the child’s caregivers to promote healthy outcomes for the behavioral treatment. The goal of the therapy is to enable the child to remain at home with family rather than be endorsed for placement in behavioral care facilities. Our outpatient care services and sessions can be conducted in the home environment or in our treatment center in Cheverly, Maryland.
